SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF SWANSEA

The name Soroptimist is derived from the Latin soror (sister) and optima (best). SI Swansea is an established and successful club of 41 members, the best for women. The strength of SI Swansea is in the diversity of its members.

SI Swansea recieved its charter on 10th March 1933. During 2008, SI Swansea proudly celebrated projects, service and friendship spanning 75 years.

Members meet in Swansea every month for project work, friendship and to deal with the business of running the club. Interesting expert speakers are invited to a number of our supper meetings and we hold enjoyable charity fund raising events.

SI Swansea has formed special friendship links with clubs in Cork (Ireland), Dundee (Scotland) and Mannheim (Germany).
